EPDM flat roofing in Newton Abbot
EPDM rubber is our first choice for most garages and extensions. It goes down in one sheet, so there are no seams across the roof, and it copes with frost and summer heat without cracking. Fitted properly, with a sound deck and the right falls, it can last 25 years or more. See EPDM flat roofing.
Single ply roofing in Newton Abbot
For bigger roofs and commercial buildings, a single ply membrane (PVC, TPO or EPDM) is quick to lay and lightweight, and it can be welded or bonded neatly around rooflights and plant. Read more on our single ply roofing in Exeter and Newton Abbot page.
GRP fibreglass roofs
GRP is hard-wearing and seamless, and suits awkward shapes and roofs that get walked on. Chris is a Restec trained installer for the Flexitec GRP system.

Flat roofing in Newton Abbot: common questions
Which flat roof is best for my garage?
For most garages we recommend EPDM rubber. It's one piece, needs very little maintenance and is great value for money over its life.
Do you roof commercial units in Newton Abbot?
Yes. We fit single ply and EPDM roofs on commercial and industrial buildings, including larger roof areas.
Can you replace an asbestos garage roof?
Yes. We remove old asbestos cement sheets safely and fit a new roof. See asbestos roof removal.
Do I need planning permission for a new flat roof?
Replacing a flat roof like for like doesn't usually need planning permission. Larger changes, or work on a listed building, are different, so check with Teignbridge District Council if in doubt.
How much does a flat roof cost in Newton Abbot?
It depends on the size, the system and the state of the deck. We give a free, no-obligation written quote.

“Very happy with my new garage roof. Everything was left very tidy.”
“Undertook work as advised late 2023/early 2024 and right from the start Chris was proactive in keeping me up to speed with progress and requesting instruction when the inevitable snag was encountered. Site was left clean and tidy despite it being a fairly messy job! It's been 6 months now and no sign of any further leaks from the roof so I'm very happy with the outcome.”
“Chris came promptly to quote. Fitted job in quickly as had cancellation. Work carried out to very good standard at a reasonable price. Him and his lads were polite and pleasant all the way through work. Tidied up really well. Highly recommend!”
